My Very Own Name Storybook

My Very Own Name Storybook

This project was done by Popular Front. This is an active iPad app in the Apple App Store. It was built with Flash and compiled with AIR 2.7. It brings the successful traditional I See Me book to a digital device for children where they can interact with and learn about letters, spelling, and animals. In all, there are over 180 SWF files that are loaded into the application as art. Zubopp, the application listed below tested my architecture and framework that this app was also built upon.

Zubopp

Zubopp

This project was done by Popular Front. I was the lead and only developer on this project and was tasked with making a proof of concept for an upcoming iPad application. I leveraged my current knowledge of AS3 and was able to use the Flash platorm and AIR 2.7 to create my first iPad app. This app contains a master SWF that loads in external XML that points to other external SWF files. These are then loaded in as assets and touch events are applied to them within my main file.

Examples of modules include the video player module, the social media icons, related links, etc. that all exist in the right column of pages.

Creature Creator

Creature Creator

This site was done by Popular Front. Creature Creator is the third spell done in the series of Harry Potter spells. There was some great collaboration between myself and the designer/production artist to come up with movieclip structure and consistent frame labels.
